Following the Lord in faith was a commitment first made by believers in faith, after the nearness of God’s grace drew new Christians to Christ Jesus. In the covenant relationship true believers voice their recognition of their Savior, Jesus Christ, as having been bought by Him in the shedding of His blood to death.

Christians are eternally sealed by His resurrection from the grave and live in repentant obedience to God. The dedication of those who are redeemed from hell and are bound for heaven is a lifelong endeavor, aided by the Holy Spirit. Those who are being sanctified have a constant focus, through Bible study, meditation, prayer and worship, on someday meeting Lord Jesus Christ, face to face in glory.

The spiritual born again, long to hear His words, Matthew 25:21, “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” NKJV

We may get their scarred, and wounded by this earthly life, but the Christians, Deliverer, will be with them now and always and bring them home to share in His joy forever. That hope, is God’s gift, His grace to His chosen vessels, who are given the mandate to carry and share His light with all the world. Christ died for all those who believe, in the past, and today as sin and evil strives to grow darker, corrupting people’s lives. Only God knows how many tomorrows will come before His return.

Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. NKJV
