You may have heard it said: There’s an unwritten law, it’s a warning; “If you want to avoid trouble, don’t talk about money, politics or religion.” This caution against those three topics is really a scare tactic of Satan. Two topics are popular, one may save your soul.
All three of those categories of conversation, when talked out at length, will lead people to consider and compare their time, values and purpose for living on planet earth. The deepest most meaningful concern is God’s gift of life and the eternal soul’s destination in heaven or hell.
Once God is on the lips, the mere mention of the Almighty makes many people act weird or becomes a joyful dialogue for few. Matt. 7:13-14. Hell begins to shake, or heaven’s angels lean in to listen. When a person’s natural ability to sin and rebel against God is provoked, Satan’s minions are at work agitating strife. When the Lord Jesus is praised, the countenances of true believers are brightened from the Holy Spirit of God within.
Resentment and outright distain for good morale’s, biblical values and the coming judgement by God, releases rage in the unbelieving person. Speaking of the One true God and accountability for sins committed against Him evokes growing love. The Savior, Christ Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross cleanses a born-again believers past, present and future sins. All glory to God the Son.
Rather than face sovereign truth that is found in the Bible, which is the word of God, people will hate, fight and try to keep themselves and others silent. But the truth is as Jesus said it is in, Matthew 25:31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.”
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.
1 Corinthians 2:12, 14 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God. 14 But [c]a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
